I was introduced to Uxcel by my friend and colleague Elena as a way of keeping our UX skills sharp.
Uxcel is an online platform for interactive learning focused on design, product, and AI-driven skills.
It emphasizes a microlearning approach (around 10 minutes a day) and offers a brilliant app for consuming its content. Each course is split into different levels, each with its own number of 5-10 minute lessons.
The idea is to complete a minimum of 1 lesson a day; quickly building up to a full course certification. Each lesson ends with a quiz to test your knowledge. The questions are multiple choice built for an app experience.
There is a varied range of content available catering to different levels of competency. From beginner to advanced.
I think it's been brilliant so far.
Due to it being on my phone, I've found I am able to maintain my daily learning habit, fitting it in at points most convenient for me. Whether commuting, before bed, or grabbing 10 minutes between meetings.
I've completed an initial course called "Design Composition" and I've been really impressed with the structure and quality of the course content.
I discovered there are names for concepts I didn't realise I already knew.
Although the learning style might not be for everyone. For me personally, and where I am in my life right now it's ideal. Every day i'm either brushing up or adding new skills quickly.
I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn about design or if you are interested in understanding a design perspective of software craft.
I'm looking forward to completing more certifications. Find me on Uxcel
